The Drive-In at Carraway Village will present a socially-distanced Holiday Spectacular for the entire family Friday, December 18 through Sunday, December 20, featuring some of the season’s favorite film classics, a choreographed holiday laser show, goodies for the children, a special “Wave-By” from Santa Claus, capped by a filmed performance of “The Nutcracker” from the Royal Opera House in London.
Tickets for each event are available now and cost $12.90 for general admission and $10.75 for children ages 4-10. Food trucks will be on-site for each event - just order online and your food will be delivered to your car.
On Friday, Dec. 18, the gates will open at 6 p.m., with Santa arriving at the same time. A screening of Elf, starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Zooey Deschanel, Mary Steenburgen, Ed Asner and Bob Newhart, will begin at 7 p.m.
On Dec. 19th, gates will open at 4:30 p.m. Santa will also arrive at that time. At 5:30 p.m., Film Fest 919 and Optic Media Laser will present a holiday laser show. Watch your favorite Christmas songs come to life with a 30-minute, fully-choreographed, high-powered laser show created by local artists. Gates will then re-open at 6:15 p.m. for another appearance by Santa and a 7:15 p.m. screening of The Polar Express, starring Tom Hanks.
The weekend will come to a close on Dec. 20th with a screening of The Royal Opera House’s production of The Nutcracker at 6 p.m. Gates will open at 5 p.m., with Santa making one final appearance.
